Wallasey Churches Together

About us

Wallasey Churches Together was formed in the early 1980’s as “Wallasey Council of Christian Churches”.

We are affiliated to Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.  We exist to promote Christian Unity and to encourage Churches to work together in sharing the gospel.  Currently 20 churches are signed up to Wallasey Churches Together.

The major events we run during the year are a service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January, the Good Friday Walk of Witness in Liscard Precinct and the Easter Day Sunrise Service.  We also support the World Day of Prayer every March.

There are two major projects we are currently supporting among the churches.  There is the Mental Health Drop In which meets every Thursday at St Albans Parish Centre, and the Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre which has its base at Jubilee Church Centre.

In the past we have initiated the Wirral Ark Homeless Project, and the Easter Pop Up Shop in Liscard Precinct helping people to understand the meaning of Easter.
